| When
does the pool open? |

The
pool opens Monday through Saturday at 11:00am and on Sundays at
1:00pm. We also offer an early bird swim Monday through Friday
from 6:00am - 8:00am. |

| Why
do you have shorter hours at the end of year? / Why can't you stay open after
Labor Day? |
| |
The large majority of our staff are
college and high school students. By mid-August, most of our
staff are back in school. We are left with only enough staff to
safely keep the patch pool open for adults for a limited number of
hours. Safety is our highest priority and necessitates that we have
the end-of-season hours and closing day that we have. |

| When
do you decide to close for bad weather? |
| |
When deciding to close for inclement
weather, the Manager will take in to account the current weather
conditions, the forecast, the amount of patrons present, and the
time of day. The most common causes for pool closings are:
lightning, heavy rain, tornado warning, and temperatures below 65
degrees. After closing for inclement weather, the pool will usually
remain closed for at least 2 hours. If the pool closes after
7:00pm then it will remain closed for the rest of the night. |

| Can
a resident of Evergreen Park come as a guest? |
| |
Yes. Guests are
welcomed to the pool regardless of residents. |

| How
many guests can I bring to the pool? |
| |
You can
purchase up to five books of guest passes per summer. Guest
passes are only sold in packs of five. There is a limit of 25
guests per visit; however, please remember that members are responsible for the behavior of their guests. |

| Is
food allowed on the pool deck? |
| |
No. Food and drinks
(other than water) are only allowed in the Concessions Area.
Likewise, all coolers must be checked in with the Cashier upon entrance
to the facility. |

| Pools |
| Are
the pools heated? |
| |
The
Middle Pool and the Training Pool are heated and set for 80 degrees.
However, due to the outdoor environment sometimes the water feels cooler or
warmer. The Splash Pool is not heated but usually does not get too cold.
The
Patch Pool is not heated. |

| How
many pools are there? |
| |
We have four pools: Patch
Pool, Middle Pool, Training Pool, and Splash Pool. |

I have to buy a membership to use the pool? |

Yes, you do have to buy
season membership to use the pool. |

| I
don't live in Evergreen Park. Can I still be a member? |

Yes.
The location of your residence has no effect on membership status. |

live in Evergreen Park. Why do I have to pay the same as Chicago
residents? |
| |
Evergreen
Aqua Park is one of the few private swimming pool organizations in Illinois and
is not supported by Evergreen Park taxes. |

| Miscellaneous |
| Do
you rent the facility out? |
| |
Yes, any pool can be rented
out for a private party. Rentals are available any night from
9:30pm - 11:30pm or on Sundays from 10:30am - 12:30pm. The
cost for renting the pool depends on how many people are in your
party and which pool you wish to rent. Prices start as low as
$150.00. Please call the office for more details. |

| Do
you offer private swimming lessons? |
| |
Yes, we offer private
swimming lessons throughout the summer. Lessons are 30 minutes
long and can be taught any time the pool is open. You can
purchase a four pack of lessons for $80.00. All private
lessons are taught by certified Red Cross instructors. |

| Why
can't the chairs be kept on the Training Pool Deck? |

Logistically, there is not an area
available to keep the chairs on the Training Pool Deck. Many
patrons feel that the area in the northeast corner near the water
fountain would be ideal. Unfortunately, this would block
access to the service gate that is needed to move supplies and
equipment into the facility. Plans are being looked at to
remedy this problem, but appropriate funds are going to be needed
before any decisions can be made. |

| Why
do I need to pay a quarter for chairs? |
| |
Paying a quarter for chairs helps pay for
the upkeep and replacement of chairs every year. |

| Is
there a lost and found? |
| |
Yes, the lost and found is
located at the main entrance with the Cashier. |
| |
| Do
you have any job openings? |
| |
We have a limited number of positions open
every summer. Positions include: lifeguards, maintenance crew,
office staff, cashiers, clerks, and concession workers. Applicants
must have at least one year of high school education to
apply. Applications can be picked up at the Administration
Office and are due March 1st. |
